A Week in Outfits is a series where I round up a week's worth of looks from the past month, along with styling notes and personal reflections. If you want to see these outfits in action, I share outfit videos on TikTok.
April was rough. Like, really really rough.
Half the month slipped away before I realised I should probably start taking outfit photos for this round-up. But I just didn’t have the energy or the enthusiasm to pick up my camera.
Getting dressed when everything feels like it’s falling apart is tough. Even though I love choosing my outfit every day, it feels like such a chore when life gets heavy.
All I wanted was comfortable clothes I didn't have to think too much about. But I still needed to feel put together because when I just "throw something on," I end up feeling much worse.
Dressing for comfort is always easier when it’s cooler. I don't like to wish away bad weather, but I have to admit, I was relieved for the break in the sunshine. It gave me some time to get through the worst of the mental fog.
In case you’ve been there too, I shared my easy, go-to outfit formulas for when you just need to get through the day—and these are mine in action. It's one less thing to worry about when life gets too overwhelming.
Outfit Formulas for When You’re Crashing Out
When things are falling apart—emotionally, mentally, globally—getting dressed can feel like such a huge chore. The idea of picking an outfit becomes completely overwhelming.
What I Wore in March
My wardrobe is mostly thrifted—a mix of vintage, second-hand fast fashion, ethical brands, and indie labels. I’ve linked similar items where possible. You can see my full capsule wardrobe, including all the details on where everything’s from, right here.
