Welcome!

I’m here to help you rediscover your personal style and fall back in love with your wardrobe—without buying more or starting from scratch.

A Considered Style is about trusting your taste and actually wearing your damn clothes. Essays and guides show you how to spot what you love, make it work in real life, and shop—when you must—without filling your wardrobe with things you don’t care about.

For people who love fashion but hate overconsumption. Welcome.

What to expect:

One considered email every Wednesday, alternating between:

  • Free Essays: Personal reflections on style, confidence, and seeing your wardrobe differently. Ideas to help you trust your taste and enjoy what you own.

  • Paid How-Tos & Guides: Practical essays, guides, and downloads to help you rewear what you love, shop consciously, and build a wardrobe you actually reach for.

No hauls. No “must-have” lists. No affiliate links.

Who I Am

I’m Sophie Davies. Writer, jeweller, outfit repeater, and sustainable fashion writer for over a decade.

I used to shop constantly. Parcels arrived weekly, sometimes daily. It felt exciting at the time, until I launched my jewellery brand and realised how much of the fast fashion problem I was part of.

So I overcorrected. Neutral basics, bland staples, a wardrobe that looked intentional but had zero personality. I’d chased “the considered capsule” and lost my style entirely.

Clawing my way back, I realised: personal style isn’t found in a shopping cart or a capsule checklist. It’s in trusting your taste and wearing your damn clothes.

That’s what I write about here.
