After a lifetime of thinking I hated shorts I finally bought a pair of long linen shorts and I LOVE them! Turns out I just hated uncomfortable short shorts that ride up my butt

I often feel the same, like if I could just find the right pair, I’d probably be fine wearing them. But the hassle of hunting them down, plus the emotional baggage of trying on pair after pair that don’t fit, just never feels worth it.

When I figured out that I generally don't like to wear t-shirts outside sports summer dressing became so much easier. Now I wear sleeveless button ups and feel much more like myself.

Yes, exactly! There's so much pressure to wear the “classic” summer staples like shorts and t-shirts but for a lot of us, they just don’t feel right. Sleeveless button-ups sound like the perfect alternative.

I always get the “aren’t you hot in that?” comment when I wear all black in summer. It used to make me second-guess myself, but I feel good in it, and it doesn’t make me any hotter so why not wear what works?
